2023-24 U SPORTS
Women's Hockey Champions

March 17, 2024

SASKATOON - For the second time in three years, the Concordia University Stingers hoisted the Golden Path trophy, defeating the University of Toronto Varsity Blues 3-1 in the 2024 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship.

It is the fourth gold medal for the Stingers. Concordia won the first two championships in U Sports history, defeating the University of Toronto 4-1 in the inaugural tournament in 1998 and repeating the feat with a 2-0 victory over University of Alberta in 1999. The Stingers won the title again in 2022, shutting out Nipissing University 4-0, but fell 4-3 in overtime to Mount Royal University in 2023, earning a silver medal.

The Stingers’ medal count stands at seven, as they have two bronzes to their credit as well, earning them in 2000 and 2018.
